Rainey Hodgson

 

 

Rainey Hodgson created B6 Lacrosse to help grow the game of lacrosse in Dallas, Texas. She not only is dedicated to growing the sport at youth ages, but also is committed to helping high school athletes achieve their goals in competing at the next level. With B6 Lacrosse, Rainey hopes to provide prospective student athletes with the opportunity to be seen by elite coaches at the college level.
Rainey Hodgson, a New York native, has coached lacrosse since 2010 and has done so at the highest level. In 2016-2018 she coached Division I collegiate lacrosse at Coastal Carolina University and at The Ohio State University, her alma mater. She played at Ohio State, where she received her bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy. As a player she was ranked third in the Big Ten for points per game and second in assists per game as well as recording 119 career points, tying for eighth all-time at Ohio State. She has also made two NCAA tournament appearances and a Big Ten Championship Game. 
Competing, as a player and a coach, at a high level is one of the many things that has shaped Coach Hodgson to be a driven and determined coach. Her experiences are what has given her strong core values. She prides herself on developing young student-athletes on and off the field. She is big on not only cultivating players’ skills but also their game mentality. Being a good role model and mentor to her players is very important to Coach Hodgson. Some main focus areas for her players’ development are accountability, mental toughness, time management, respecting yourself and others, and learning how to effectively communicate.
Coach Hodgson is the Head Coach at Southlake. She moved to Texas four years ago and started the program at Lovejoy High School and also coached at Parish ISD in 2021In addition, she coached the Under Armor All American Team as well as Team North Texas where she took players from all over the state and Southwest region to compete on the east coast against the best players in the nation.
